Alignment of machine shafts
Precise laser alignment of machine shafts ensures much longer life of bearings, seals and other operating parts.
Misalignment of couplings is a common issue, a typical cause of overload and premature bearing wear. Vibration caused by machine misalignment is transmitted onto all components reducing their life. Shaft deflection due to misalignment lead to premature damage of seals, and friction caused by relative displacement in the coupling components absorbing considerable energy, thus causing the user additional energy cost.
The laser measurement method is simple to use and very precise, enabling quick alignment of every machine with the accuracy that is impossible to achieve with other methods, taking into account heat deviations, and allows for the alignment of vertical machines and drive shafts. Calibrated stainless steel shims are used for the alignment.
